My Family Heritage
Three generations of Hiscocks, my great-grandfather Arthur David Hiscock, my grandmother Beatrice Hiscock-Joyce, and my aunt, Donna Lee Joyce-Jarvis. My great-grandfather went to the Klondike during the gold rush in 1898, over the Chilkoot Pass. He took his wife with him and she gave birth to a son, that they named Edward Dawson Hiscock, after the town where he was born. He was the first white boy born in the Yukon.
